1996 Jayco Finch Restoration

We purchased a 1996 Jayco Finch off Facebook Marketplace in November 2024, we had been searching for a few months prior and keeping an eye on prices. There wasn't many good examples in our price range (Under $6k), most were 70's and 80's models that weren't in the best of shape, restored ones were even more expensive and we couldn't justify the price (It may look nice but it's still 30 years old and under the new paint is all the annoying little bits and pieces that are going to need to be repaired)

We ended up going to look at a 1996 Jayco Finch 25th Anniversary model, it was close by and the seller seemed like a decent bloke so we towed it home. It was in good shape overall, the outside looked a little dated but we liked that, the canvas was in good condition, the inside was a little worn from use and looked pretty outdated

The fridge didn't work (We have one and a dual battery system in the Ute so it didn't matter), the water tank was full of gunk (There's a small water tank in the ute with a pump, but fixing this is on the to-do list), but overall it was definitely a good base. After putting the project off for nearly 5 months we got to work.

I think the end result turned out pretty good!
